Ripon’s Early Bird Kiwanis Club hosted its first annual Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, July 9th during Riponfest in the Shelter Building at Barlow Park, Ripon. The public was welcomed. The complete adult dinner, served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., included two grilled pork chops, baked potato, baked beans, roll, sauerkraut, beverage and homemade dessert. Adult dinner tickets sold for $10 and children under 12, $5. The children’s dinner included one pork chop plus all of the other food items. Presale dinner tickets could be purchased at Ripon Area Builders, The Diedrich Agency, or from any Early Bird Kiwanian. Carry outs were available. Proceeds from the Kiwanis Pork Chop Dinner will fund scholarships, donations and other projects.
